Cambodian Agency Development of Disability and the Poor (CADDP) was established by the movement of people with disabilities through general assembly which was held on 5th June 2006 with 33 people with disabilities in total, based in local areas of Dang Tong district Kampot province.
CADDP was officially registered and recognized by the Ministry of Interior dated on 22nd February 2007 by the letter number 230 SChN/info. CADDP has been working very closely with all levels of local authorities and district office of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation.
CADDP now is the membership of CDPO network and recognized by Cambodian Disabled People`s Organization (CDPO) and it is also the member of Disability Action Council of Kampot province.
CADDP is working and leading by the persons with disabilities in order to make sure that they have full rights and freedom in society, self-economic and social development for themselves through the supporting from local authorities and sub-national government.
Currently, CADDP has been operating in 20 villages in 3 communes (Dang Tong, La Ang and Khcheay Khang Choeung communes). There are 14 Self-Help Groups in the total of 185 persons with disabilities (F=40, M=108, girl=17, boy=20). They are in different kinds of disabilities such as physical, hearing, speaking, visual impairments and intellectual disabilities. The main activities of
CADDP have been being working to focus on promotion of disability movement; health services, SHG saving scheme, community capacity building, animal raising in SHGs and hydro farms (natural method model using), educational and language training support, hygiene and clean water support to community people, life-skill trainings, small scale of credit scheme and spiritual and moral education.

CADDP Vision:
Children, youths and people with disabilities and the poor are experiencing better living standards; gaining access to educational and job opportunities; enjoying good health and growing spiritually.
CADDP AIM:
Increase the participation of children, youths & people with disabilities and the poor in development and democracy processes in order to improve the living conditions of people living in Kampot province.
CADDP Mission:
CADDP is a local Cambodian NGO that will work to motivate and empower children, youths & persons with disabilities and the poor by developing knowledge, democracy process, health, family agriculture, jobs and strengthening their faith and providing development programs so that they will be self-confident and self-reliant.
